Make Easy Fruit Dip
This dip makes eating fresh fruit fun. It’s a good way to satisfy a sweet tooth without completely ruining your healthy-eating plans.
This concoction is what I put on my fruit pizza as the “sauce,” but I also like to use it as a dip. The recipe goes especially well with fresh strawberries, but it complements any fruit nicely. It also makes a good dip for animal crackers or marshmallows, if you want to add some variety.
Also, you can create fancy cheesecake-stuffed strawberries by hollowing out fresh berries and spooning this dip into them. Arrange the stuffed berries on a platter and sprinkle with a dusting of powdered sugar if you’d like. If you want the berries to stand upright on the platter, cut off just a bit of the tip of each berry. (Throw the berry tips into your freezer to use later in oatmeal or as pancake toppings.)
Easy Fruit Dip
Ingredients:
1 container Cool Whip, thawed
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
Fresh fruit of your choice (I recommend strawberries, grapes, blackberries, and sliced apples)
Directions:
Place cream cheese on the kitchen counter to soften at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes. Place cream cheese and Cool Whip in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Blend with a hand or stand mixer until thoroughly mixed.
Allow flavors to meld in the fridge for 20-30 minutes. Serve with fresh fruit. Store leftovers in the fridge.
